This page is all about Princess Annabelle

Meet Annabelle Louise James.  She was born here in the Royal Piggy Castle on December 6, 2013.  Her birth parents are Queen Perta-Berta and King Plavador.  She has quite a story to tell <3.  Annabelle was born into a large litter of 7 babies!  Her momma usually only has 5 babies so we were surprised by so many.  Perta Berta had her breakfast and we knew she would be having babies soon so we checked in on her every 30 minutes.  At 11:00 her labor had started, by noon there were babies <3  We got to see them all be born!!  There were pinks and blacks and all were beautiful and healthy.  So we left them alone to nurse and for Berta to relax with her new babies while we went back to doing school.  At 2, we went to check on them and all were ok.  Perta Berta is a very protective mommy.  We were looking at the babies and leaned over the wall to get a better look.  Berta felt intimidated by the leaning and she ran toward us to warn us to back up.  She stepped on one of the little pink babies. The baby squealed and hobbled off but seemed ok.  We left them alone and went to fix dinner.  Our dad got home at 4:00 so we had dinner and then took him to the piggy castle to see the new babies!  One of the pink babies was laying while its siblings were running all over it and nursing and playing.  This little baby wasn't moving and was cold so our dad scooped it up and had our mom take it inside to try to save it.  The baby wasn't moving.  We all worked crazy fast to get things together to warm up the baby, bring up its sugar level and get some warm milk into it's tummy.  Our mom held the baby all night and tried every 20-30 minutes to get just a little more milk into its tummy.  Finally around 2:30 am the baby started making noise and wiggling and trying to get down so we took her back to the Piggy Castle to be with her momma.  We thought she just needed some energy to be able to compete with her siblings for milk.  At 6:30 we all went back to check in on the babies and the pink baby girl was laying up by her momma's head not moving, and very cold again.  So we rushed her back inside to get warm.  Our mom held her all day in an electric blanket.  She woke her up every 30 minutes to make her eat.  We did school and fixed lunch all while holding this little piggy.  She slept all day, all night and part of the next day.  Finally she woke up on her own and wanted down.  So our mom put her down and that is when we all realized she had a broken leg.  She couldn't compete with her siblings for food becasue she was broken.
