ABOUT US
James Gang Royal Mini Pigs is a small family hobby farm.
As homeschooled students we have done an endless amount of research about miniature pigs and we are very excited to be entrepreneurs developing and expanding our own business.
We are based out of central Indiana. We started with one pig, Prince Pennington, but from there our pig family has grown to many piggies. They have their very own Royal Castle in our backyard. But our piggies also love to be inside our house playing with us. All of our pigs are very happy, healthy, & spoiled.
We pride ourselves in having a fun loving farm. We treat our piggies as royal pets. And we are excited to help you find a forever pet with our miniature pigs!
WHY PIGS??
'Why did we choose to start raising pigs?' is a question we hear a lot. Our great-grandpa loved pigs. The full sized kind and his large potbelly pig, Monroe, who slept by his chair. Fora birthday one year all we asked for was a piglet. So our Mammaw and Pappaw surprised us with Prince Pennington, a miniature potbelly piglet. We wanted another piglet after we fell in love with Prince Pennington! We then realized we get our love of pigs from our Great-Grandpa.
Our Story Begins
When we decided to ask our parents for another piglet, we asked if we could start raising piggies. We are homeschooled so our mom saw the learning possibilities and immediately said yes to this as a homeschool project. We will only let our piglets find loving forever homes.
About Mini Pigs
Miniature Pigs are wonderful animals that make great pets! Once we had our first piggy we instantly knew these were the pet for us! We want to give others the opportunity to experience how wonderful pet pigs can be!!
Contrary to popular belief, pigs are very clean animals. They litterbox easily and at a young age because they are such clean animals. They will not potty where they eat or sleep. Pigs have no sweat glands so they are practically odor-free. Pigs can not have fleas.
Pigs are great for people who have allergies to other animals. They have hair not fur so they are very unlikely to cause any allergic reactions. They are considered a hypoallergenic pet.
Pigs are very intelligent. They rank the 4th smartest creature on the planet. Humans are 1st, chimpanzees/apes rank number 2, whales/dolphins are 3rd, and pigs are Number 4! They have the intellect of a 4 year old child at only a few weeks old.
